LOOK: Storm surge damages Sabang Beach baywalk | DZMM Teleradyo

Courtesy of DZMM Teleradyo Storm surges caused by Super Typhoon Uwan damaged a seawall and boulevard along Sabang Beach in Baler Sunday. Residents are now cleaning up rocks, sand, garbage and other debris washed in by the storm surges into the tourist establishments. Vice Governor Patrick Alexis Angara noted the waves and storm surges were already affecting Aurora’s coastal towns Sunday even before the super typhoon made landfall. Some 50,000 people in the province fled their homes before the typhoon hit. “Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na nakaranas ang Aurora ng ganitong kalakas na bagyo,” he said.
