I have never cried this much about a person that I didn't know before. Akira Toriyama was a pioneer, every piece of work related to manga or anime is directly or indirectly inspired by him. Dragon Ball has an impact all over the world, especially in Latin America which is where I am from. My happiest childhood memories are all Dragon Ball related. I was bullied in kindergarten by some students and even the teachers, it was an awful experience but I always looked forward for the bell to ring because I knew that as soon as I arrive home, Dragon Ball will be on. On first grade, Dragon Ball Z was airing so my school friend and I always had conversations about fights, characters, theories that we heard around and we even started collecting cards for an album that was on sale at the time. I remeber going to my cousin's house just to see all of them in front of the TV in death silence watching the introduction of Android 16. On eleventh grade, I went to the premiere of Battle of the Gods with my best friend at the time, I had a crush on her so I lied to my other friends about having plans so I can go with her alone, we had an amazing time and I still have the movie ticket till this day. I struggle with happiness, sometimes I do not know what it means but one thing is for sure, Dragon Ball makes me happy. I am very sad at the moment, but also I am very grateful that I was able to experience Dragon Ball, all thanks to Toriyama. RIP to the greatest, please enjoy this small tribute.
