Diving into my thoughts on Joe Rogan’s deal with Spotify worth $100 million for EXCLUSIVE rights to his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. We are talking about what I think this means for the future of the entertainment industry. Joe Rogan is well-known for being the announcer on the 90’s hit TV show, Fear Factor. On an interview, he said the amount he made through Fear Factor was enough to retire. Joe Rogan was also a commentator for UFC. It’s estimated he made anywhere from $50,000 to $100,000 per fight. Joe Rogan has branded himself as a household name in the entertainment industry. His partnership to give Spotify licensing rights to his podcast absolutely paves the way for podcasts to profit in other ways besides sponsorships and YouTube monetization. Podcasts have become EXTREMELY popular and are only growing.
