5 DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES to support your weight loss: https://www.chefaj.com/5-delicious-lo... Jenny Griscti has been interested in health and fitness for many years having trained initially as a Coronary Care nurse and later on working in aged care. She grew up as a child on a dairy farm and as a result consumed generous amounts of milk and butter. Luckily, her family also grew a lot of their own food in the garden and it was this aspect of family life that resonated most with her. About 10 years ago, she stumbled across The China Study and nutritionfacts.org which led to an escalation in personal research in the area of WFPB nutrition. Within a short period of time a number of health complaints resolved on a WFPB diet (asthma, eczema, hay fever, gut issues). She enthusiastically encouraged (insisted) Adrian to read some of the evidence and continues to bring to light evidence that Adrian is able to share with patients. She is a strong advocate of WFPB lifestyle and often hosts patients of Adrian’s practice in her kitchen - teaching them the “how” to eat more healthily. She finds that the best way to advocate for this lifestyle is to feed people tasty and nourishing food. As a bonus, nobody leaves our home without a goodie bag from our productive edible garden. Dr Adrian Griscti has been a rural GP (Australian version of being a Board Certified Family Physician) for over 35 years and has practiced the full gamut of procedural tasks including Obstetrics and Anesthetics. In 2013, he was introduced to the health benefits of a plant based diet by his wife Jenny insisting that he must read The China Study. Subsequently, in 2014 Adrian completed the Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition through eCornell University. In 2018, he obtained his Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Adrian is now known as “the vegan doctor” and his own blood work is exemplary of improved health – with a drop of over 40% in his total cholesterol. A large part of his practice is counseling and educating patients on the health benefits of not only a whole food plant based diet but also a healthy lifestyle in general. Many young patients have been known to enjoy the fruit that just happens to be strategically left lying around on his desk! Adrian is also involved in teaching medical students from both Adelaide and Flinders University, and recent graduates (interns and registrars). Adrian is the Doctors For Nutrition South Australia Ambassadoc for health promotion charity Doctors For Nutrition. Their mission is to empower healthcare professionals with knowledge about the undeniable benefits of whole food plant-based nutrition.
