Notes. Installation (Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11): 0. Install the game (you can check archive.org for the .ISO file). 1. Place two files from the "MC2_FIX" archive (dinput.dll and Mc2Rel.exe) in the game folder, replacing the latter - https://www.old-games.ru/forum/attach... 3. Delete badcard.csv и vidcard.csv from the game folder, also imagehelp.dll and dbghelp.dll from \assets\Binaries. 4. Disable "hardware mouse update", pick resolution, difficulty (I've picked "Veteran", "Regular" is rather too easy). I've also disabled infinite ammo. Resolution is set to 800x600 due to a fact otherwise it would not be possible to record this game properly (see below). 5. In case if you see error about missing mc2_16.water0016.tga or similar download https://drive.google.com/file/d/10At5..., rename it to "TEXTURES.FST" and replace the fle in the core folder. 6. Download https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JFFG.... 7. Put things from "9. New Exodus campaign", "exodus_campaign_11" and "mc2_patch" into data\, replace the files. Now you can play new custom campaign. 8. If you plan to record video and the correct aspect ratio is important to you, along with legible mission captions, it's also a good idea to create a desktop shortcut and set its window setting to "fullscreen". In this case, the aspect ratio within the mission, when displayed fullscreen, will be "not that correct", but the recording itself will be as expected, with black bars on the sides. It's also best to hide the taskbar before recording. It's also worth keeping in mind that due to the specific nature of the lobby and missions being displayed at different resolutions, this negatively impacts the recording process. This can only be mitigated by lowering the resolution to 800x600x32. *. There are also bunch of other campaigns and tools existed back in the day, but currently most of this files are lost, while several saved campaigns works only with "Omnitech" or "MC2X" modifications. In other words - "Exodus" is the only one you can actually play in the original environment by the moment this video been recorded. About at least 15 more custom campaign been lost in time.
