The Church Jesus Built – Part 5 In this episode, we continue our study on “The Church Jesus Built”, focusing on what the Bible teaches about the church in the New Testament. Today, many religious groups exist with different doctrines—Roman, Methodist, Anglican, and many others. Some even say that the name of the church is not important, but the Bible shows that a name is the first identification mark of anything. The Scriptures reveal that Christ Himself established His church (Matthew 16:18). The prophets foretold that it would begin in Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2–3), and Jesus confirmed that repentance and remission of sins would be preached beginning at Jerusalem (Luke 24:44–47). In this lesson, we trace the fulfillment of this prophecy to Acts chapter 2, on the day of Pentecost, when the church began.
