John Collins is the CEO of Talacrest and the world’s largest dealer of classic Ferraris. He has sold over £1billion of cars throughout his career, specialising in ultra-rare classics including 9 Ferrari 250 GTOs. Beginning his career as a tea boy at a local newspaper in Glasgow, by the 1980s he was one of the world’s top photo journalists. In 1988 he established Talacrest to pursue his passion of buying and selling ultra-rare Ferraris full time. In the mid 1990s he cofounded RM Auctions, (now RM Sotheby’s) the largest classic car auction house in the world.
