Eternit Cedral starts crumbling after 10 years from exposure to the sun

I'm one of 4 houses in the neighborhood who have experienced damage to their Eternit Cedral siding after 10 years of exposure to the sun. The warranty is only for 10 years, so Etex Group refuses to look into this. The building company tried to reach them but they ignored their requests as well. Promotional materials and online resellers all claim that the siding should last a good 50 to 60 years under normal circumstances. I guess direct afternoon sunlight is not normal. Etex suggested I treat the siding with a black coating, but I simply don't trust that it will bring about the right results and they don't feel obligated to prove this. And it costs just under 3000 euros anyway. Replacing the siding will be about 5000 euros. But what's the point if I have to replace it every 10 years!? In all fairness, the houses that don't get direct afternoon sun are fine.
