In this episode of #secondsonwoodworks, I show you how to stop getting shocked by static electricity. See below for more info. Have you ever been shocked by your sander when hooked up to a vaccum hose? This is likely caused by the static electricity building up in the vacuum and the hose from the constant movement of dust and particles. Often it will go into your hand because it serves as an electrical ground. It DOES NOT FEEL GOOD. Use this simple trick with Copper Wire to make sure the electricity is discharged into the ground.
