Chicago's Very Own launched a new, daily political show, replacing the final 15 minutes of WGN's 3-hour evening newscast. Political editor Tahman Bradley anchors, leaving behind his decade-long weekend anchor duties. With the debut of 'The Point,' political analyst Paul Lisnek's Sunday morning political show has been canceled, but he remains at the station. The premiere including a 10-minute interview with Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson, a 1-minute commercial break, then a 2-minute closer with a few political news briefs & a moment of levity in the political world. They're calling that a 'Tip of the Hat.' A stuffed time slot right now, but it could very easily be expanded into a half hour entry, even syndicated out to other Nexstar stations in Illinois, like WGN's nightly 'GN Sports' highlight show.
