Over our undergraduate term, we have learned that Asian University for Women is not just an institution. It’s a sisterhood, a spirit, a community. A community that harbors some warm relationships and fierce friendships, not just in the dorms but in the classrooms and the faculty offices as well. Over the past years, together, we have been blessed with the unique opportunity to grow in an international platform, through different ups and downs, achievements and losses. As an end result, we are here today, at the culmination point, cherishing some fond memories, educational lessons and unconditional friendships. We’ve called ourselves the “Aventurines” as the Aventurine-the stone of opportunity symbolizes the release of all old patterns and habits. Upon choosing this name, we had aimed to make room for new growth, as we embraced ourselves to face the future and that’s what we’ll all be doing today. Today as we graduate, we look forward and create new directions for us, where we shine and flourish. But as we go on, let us all remember that wherever we go, we remain an integral part of this affectionate community- our beloved AUW. Congratulations Batch of 2020!
