Want to make sure that the CBD or cannabis product you are purchasing is quality and contains what the label claims? This short video will walk you through how to understand the content in a COA. How to obtain a COA: When looking for a COA, inspect the product for a batch #. This is usually found as a stamp or sticker on the side or bottom of the bottle. Once you've found it, pull up the corresponding COA from the company website or ask the vendor from whom you are purchasing the product to provide the document. if you haven't purchased the product yet, you can often find the COA in the product descriptions on the web site where you are purchasing. I only recommend purchasing/using products that come with a COA Definitions: LOD -The Limit of Detection is typically defined as the lowest concentration or quantity of a component or substance that can be reliably distinguished with a specific analytical method LOQ -The Limit of Quantitation is typically used to describe the smallest concentration that can be reliably measured by an analytical procedure. Limit is LOD times a safety factor selected by the laboratory or the manufacturer. If a compound tests under this limit, it doesn't necessarily mean it is safe. If the Mass field indicates a quantity, that would mean that any of these substances are present in the formula. NT = Not Tested. This means the element was not tested. ND = Not detected. This means the element was not present.
