Kim Kwang Suk AKA ''The Whitney Houston of North Korea'' was the lead singer of the Ponchonbo Electronic Ensemble, the state choir of North Korea. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 55 for reasons that have yet to be known, she had the 3rd largest funeral in North Korea after the previous heads of state and there are plans to build a concert hall and music school in Pyongyang in her memory. Her music was remarkably popular in North Korea and it made decent foreign sales in South Korea, China, Vietnam, and Russia. She is considered by eastern music companies to be one of the most underrated singers in recent world history. In this 1993 video, she is signing the french hit song ''Le Temps Des Fleurs'' in its native French language. Personally, I think Kim Kwang Suk may have the most beautiful voice I have ever had the joy of listening too and although I am American I have nothing but respect for her and her family, may she rest in peace.
