Rocky IV is an all-time favourite film of mine. I think it’s a perfect celebration of schlock ’80s style, and I mean this in the most endearing and best way possible. It’s because of how unrealistic the premise is that the film is so incredibly iconic. The editing of this film is surgically perfect, and so is Vince DiCola’s score. And this is the purpose of this video: having seen many fan edits which, for one reason or another, I don’t really like, I decided to assemble my own cut, which I use when I go for a run or work out. None of the released tracks of ‘War’ is the same as the one in the film. But this cut combines ‘War/Fanfare’ from the CD soundtrack and ‘War’ from another CD of the soundtrack, which is less upbeat in the middle section but is otherwise the same as the film score.
