This is Part 1 of mine and @OwlySharkys Soul Link randomised nuzlocke! stay tuned for more episodes! #vtuber #pokemon Come watch me play more games on Twitch.tv/HamuchiVT ! ! ! The rules for the Soul Link are in the discord! check them out! / discord Fainting = Death: Any Pokémon that faints is considered permanently dead and must be released or boxed in a dedicated “deceased” PC box. No Revives allowed. 1: Encounter Limit: Only the first Pokémon encountered in each area/route can be caught. If it faints, flees, or you run out of Poké Balls, tough luck—no second chances. Use the Pokémon’s summary “Met” location to confirm areas (e.g., Route 1 has sub-areas like north of house, beachfront). 2: Nicknaming: All Pokémon must be nicknamed to build emotional bonds. 3: Linked Encounters: Encounters are paired by area/order (starters first, then Route 1, etc.). Communicate before entering! Both players’ first encounters in a shared area are “soul-linked.” 4: Failed Catch Penalty: If one player fails their catch (faints, flees, KO’d), the other must forfeit theirs too—even if caught (release or box it immediately). 5: Soul-Linked Fate: Successfully caught pairs are bonded for life. If one faints/dies, its partner dies too (box/release immediately). If one is boxed, the other must be boxed. 6: Party Sync: Linked Pokémon must both be in their respective parties or both boxed—no splitting them (one in party, one in PC). Additional Rules: 1: Primary typing: Primary types of pair cannot be the same and whoever was last to encounter gets a “reroll” until the pair is valid. 2: Shiny Clause: if it’s shiny you can catch it, which then allows the other person to catch a pokemon to pair it with. 3: Whiteout: Rather than counting a whiteout as a loss, you may continue with a new team of Pokémon from your box. 4: Revive: One pair revive for the entire Play-through.
