Kwara Church Abduction: Bandits Demand ₦100m Ransom per Victim

Families in Eruku, Kwara State, say the bandits who stormed the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Igan, and abducted about 35 worshippers have now demanded an alarming ransom of ₦100 million for each victim. According to relatives, the kidnappers are calling with the abductees’ phones and have split them into groups, with the first set of 11 facing the staggering demand. Community leader Chief Olusegun Olukotun, who narrowly escaped, confirmed that four of his family members remain in captivity. The Owa of Eruku, Oba Busari Olarewaju, is urging urgent government action as military personnel continue operations around the community following the governor’s visit.
