Boyuurange / Reisong A50 300B Tube Amp Basic Mods Part One
In this two part video, we start the modification of this amp by working on the power supply. The bones are there, but the design is poorly implemented which limits the power and cleanliness this amp is capable of. We do some basic changes which increase the output voltage, still well below putting any stress on the tubes, which brings out another 1.5W of power. This gives the amp a much more authoritative sound at all volume levels, by soldering in 4 inexpensive parts and replacing the rectifier tube with the very popular, slow warmup 5AR4.
