#StopTheTrucks 🚚 Today is 💢 Ban Live Export International Awareness Day💢: Each year, more than a billion chickens, sheep, goats, horses, pigs and bovines 🐮🐮 are transported alive within the EU and to third countries. They stand for weeks stacked on top of each other in trucks or ships🚢. As there are no rules for temperature limits 🔥on ships the animals are sometimes cooked alive on deck during the hot months. Many of them die a cruel slow death from the catastrophic conditions💔 Just last week there was another tragic accident in which thousands of animals suffered a cruel death. A ship with almost 16,000 sheep on board sank in Red Sea port of Suakin.
