This trailer is fan made Creating a love letter for the 1960's and trying to change the tragic event for former movie star, Sharon Tate, director Quentin Tarantino created his fairy tale film known as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. A unique film which is a comedy yet at the same time deals with the golden era of Hollywood coming to an end along with the glory days of a cowboy star fading away. Rick Dalton and his best friend, Cliff Booth go through this journey as they coincidentally interact with Sharon Tate and the ludicrous Manson Family. This is a "what if" scenario and the possibility of events that could've been. Tarantino also pays tribute to Tate with having her visit the cinema and with an audience seeing how appreciated she was by fans. It's a film where instead of portraying her as a victim, he wants people to remember her as what she really was, a beautiful movie star. Similar to Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino is playing with history, referencing the past yet at the same time creating his own characters to interact within that world. Spahn Ranch, for example really used to be a production set for shooting westerns which later became abandoned, and then turned into a spooky headquarters for Charles Manson and his cult. Bruce Lee as well is portrayed here in a controversial manner set to make Cliff Booth look tougher. Of course, being a fan of Bruce Lee, I know of his reputation as an exceptional and very dangerous fighter, and there's nothing that can truly overshadow that. An imaginary and unique film that's having fun and showing more of a 1960's experience and what life was like back in those days.
