In this video, I'm going to show you my process for cleaning an engine bay using Purple Power industrial strength cleaner/degreaser. You're only going to need a few obvious items to get started: a car (with an engine), a water hose and source, a car brush (similar to what you would wash a cash with), and your cleaner--in our case, Purple Power. ► Pretreat the engine compartment by lightly misting Purple Power ► Let the degreaser work for 10 minutes ► Spray the engine compartment thoroughly with the mist nozzle. Do not use direct spraying. Do not use the higher pressure spray settings, especially on or around sensitive components ► Use the brush as needed, being careful on or around sensitive components ► Rinse the engine compartment again with water When I'm finished, I like to shut the hood, start the car, and let it run so the heat dries the engine compartment itself.
