Back in 2017, the Command Zone podcast, one of my favorite podcasts and a large influence in my own work, gave me the episodic shoutout, and was a truly humbling moment for me early on in my content creation journey. The deck they built was none other than Mairsil, who I feel was ahead of his time in design. I have spent the last few years slowly working on this deck, looking for a unique approach to the deck. My biggest gripe with this deck, is you have to run quite a few garnets, spells you would never cast, and exist in the 99 solely for their being caged by Mairsil's effect. I have searched for cards you could run as support and board presence while building up Mairsil's main strategy. A theme I added in for my own fun flavor was the play on the number thirteen, with cards like Tree of Perdition, Triskaidekaphile, and Triskaidekaphobia, as some fun win conditions.
