《🗣️財政預算案發言》 法律界發展是香港經濟發展的重要基礎，所有經濟活動都需要法律界的協助，然而在本年度的財政預算案中，特區政府卻未有投入資源去培訓法律人才，我對此深感失望。 4月17日，我在立法會會議上就財政預算案發言，指出香港作為全國唯一實行基本法的地區，需要協助國家在全球金融、航運、貿易等方面，建立規則，以提供一個更加安全穩定的發展空間。這一切的前提，就是特區政府必須投入更多資源，為法律業界提供培訓，讓新產業得到充足的人才，如此才能推動香港經濟轉型。 《🗣️My Speech on the Appropriate Bill 2025》 The betterment of the legal profession lays the foundation for Hong Kong’s economic growth, as all economic activities require the support of the legal sector. However, I am deeply disappointed that the SAR Government has not allocated resources for the training of legal professionals in this year’s Budget. On 17 April, I spoke up during the LegCo debate on the Appropriate Bill 2025 that Hong Kong, as the only common law jurisdiction in our country, has the responsibility to assist the nation to establish rules in global finance, shipping, trade, and other areas for a safer and more stable environment for development. The prerequisite for Hong Kong to fulfill its duty is that the SAR Government must allocate more resources to provide training opportunities for the legal profession to ensure that emerging sectors are well-supported with sufficient talent, and only in this way can we stimulate economic transformation of Hong Kong.
