Imports of milling tools are growing: Mexico exceeds $118 million in 2025

In 2025, the value of milling tool imports exceeded one hundred and eighteen million dollars, representing growth of around 1% compared to 2024, according to data from the Cubo de Información de Comercio Exterior. Within this category, solid carbide end mills showed the largest increase, with 4.5% growth in the same period. The US was the main country from which Mexico imported milling tools, with more than $40 million, followed by Germany with $25.8 million, China with $15.4 million, South Korea with $7.9 million, and Japan with $7.4 million. These five countries accounted for more than 80% of total imports, with Asian countries in particular showing the highest growth compared to the previous year. Finally, it is important to mention that until 2024, the largest importers of these tools were Querétaro, Nuevo León, Mexico City, Baja California, and the State of Mexico.
