Survivorship 101, I Have/Had Cancer, Why Do I Need a Primary Care Provider?

Primary care providers play an important role in caring for patients across the cancer care continuum, from prevention through end of life. The role they take varies depending on the path along the continuum. In this talk, Dr. Larissa Nekhlyudov will discuss the role that PCPs may have from the time of cancer diagnosis through the end of life, as well as the challenges that may exist for both patients and PCPs. She will also provide practical strategies to help patients to improve communication and coordination of care between their oncologists and PCPs.
