From Me To You - Fergal Flaherty

In December 2010 I got a phone call from a good friend of mine Darren Marks to tell me he had an Idea for his daughters wedding that he wanted to run passed me. She was getting married in May 2011 and he had photos and notes of his daughter that he kept through the years and wondered if he posted them to me could I write a song for his daughters wedding from him as a Dad to her that he could play to her on her special day. I said yes of course but don’t post them over, get yourself and your lovely wife Jo over to Tenerife for a few days stay with us and we can sit down and you can tell me in person what you want. So a few weeks later they landed on the island, myself and Darren went for a few cups of coffee he showed me all his notes and pics and mentioned to me that his daughter Zoe had a favourite Teddy that we all know and love called the ‘From me to you” Teddy with the love heart on his chest so I insisted that would be the title of the song you’re listening to now. That’s how the song came about and I hope you enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it for special friends of mine 🙏🏻❤️
