The ultimate Chana Pulao recipe that combines flavor and health. #chanapulao #chanaywalaychawal #superchef Chana Pulao Ingredients: Oil 1/2 cup Onion (sliced) 1 cup Cumin seeds 1 tbsp Red whole chilies 3-4 Star anise 2 Black cardamom 2-3 Black peppercorns 10-12 Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp Soaked white chickpeas 2 ½ cups Red chili powder 1 tbsp Coriander powder 1 ½ tbp Red chili flakes 1 tbsp Salt 1 tbsp Cumin powder 1 tbsp Yogurt 1/2 cup Water 2 cups + 5 cups Mixed achaar 1/2 cup Soaked rice 3 cups Green coriander (chopped) as required Directions: 1. In a pot heat oil and add onion. Cook until light brown in color. Now add cumin seeds, red whole chilies, star anise, black cardamom, black peppercorns and sauté for a minute. add ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute. 2. Add soaked chickpeas and cook for 1-2 mins. 3. Now add red chili powder, coriander powder, red chili flakes, salt, cumin powder and mix it well. 4. Add yogurt and cook for 5-10 mins. Add 2 cups of water and cover and cook until chickpeas are fully done. 5. Now add mixed achaar and mix it well. Add 5 cups of water and bring it to a simmer. Add soaked rice and cook until 80% water dries out. 6. Now cover and steam over low flame for 10-12 mins. Your Chana Pulao is ready. Garnish it with green coriander and enjoy. Prep time: 15-20 mins Cooking time: 40 mins Servings: 5-6
