Tennis legend Venus Williams experienced a years-long struggle with uterine fibroids. Now, to raise awareness of this common yet misunderstood condition, she's opening up about how finding the right care changed her life. In this moving conversation, Venus shares how fibroids impacted her health, career, and dreams of motherhood, as well as how NYU Langone’s Center for Fibroid Care helped her reclaim her future. With compassionate support and a personalized treatment plan from a multidisciplinary team, Venus was able to find healing, hope, and a path to motherhood. At the Center for Fibroid Care, part of the Mignone Women’s Health Collaborative, patients have access to a gynecologic surgeons, fertility experts, nutritionists, hematologists, and interventional radiologists.
