In today’s video, I talk about why I believe an off-white cable sweater is one of the most timeless and classic pieces you can knit — the kind of sweater that never goes out of style and somehow works with everything. I also share a bit of the behind-the-scenes story of the Billie design process. Writing this pattern was initially quite challenging, especially making sure the cable pattern worked beautifully across all sizes. There was a moment where everything finally clicked — and when it did, it felt so good. Even though the Billie patterns are already a few years old, they’re still among my absolute favorites. We also get into one of knitting’s most underrated challenges: choosing the right buttons. I talk about my ongoing thoughts about possibly changing the buttons on my Billie cardigan — and why wooden buttons are unfortunately not an option in my house (thanks to Marlon, who believes they are a snack). Thank you for joining me for another day of the Advent Countdown — and happy knitting! 🧶✨
