CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The group in favor of bringing marijuana use to Ohio held a news conference Friday, Oct. 16. Responsible Ohio said for the last 19 years the statehouse has refused to deal with the issue of medical marijuana. Cincinnati city councilmember Chris Seelbach supports the plan to legalize pot and said marijuana prohibition has failed. Medical marijuana advocates like Nicole Nazarene said making the drug legal would help provide passionate care for sick and suffering Ohioans such as her daughter who suffers from epilepsy. Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil opposed the legalization effort. Voters will decide on Issue 3 at the polls in November 2015. It would legalize the medical and recreational use of marijuana. Voters will also have to decide on Issue 2, an anti-monopoly constitutional amendment.
