The design is adapted to the landscape and infrastructure. It is not too high and not too low. The cubature is simple in order to build it cheaply and to provide good orientation for the elderly. The result is a cube with an inner courtyard. The inner courtyard plays a very important role. The courtyard provides a safe shelter for walking and a good overview of the functions of the house. The corridors adjacent to the inner courtyard connect and promote communication. Visual axes were created in the square building, extending from the foyer through the inner courtyard into the landscape. This has created large openings in the building on the ground floor and in the basement, which open up the building with great views. Small balconies have been created between the living rooms, both to see the landscape and to connect the rooms with a common space. The exits to the balconies were aligned with each other to encourage communication between the residents. This created an interesting incision and design of the façade. This gives structure to the austere cube. The ground floor is a communal space with a dining room, library and terrace. The administration for all organisational matters is also located here. The rooms are located on the upper floors and the sports, therapy and care areas in the basement. The construction is kept simple. The load-bearing structure is made of reinforced concrete and supplemented with masonry. The walls are insulated and coated with white plaster. The windows are preferably made of aluminium, but can also be made of plastic. The floor will be covered with linoleum and shell limestone. The energy supply is provided by: Heat pump, photovoltaic system and earth probes. Traffic, delivery and escape routes are planned around the building to create the best possible connection to the infrastructure. At least 10 parking spaces for employees have also been planned.
