Rod Temperton - Michael Jackson "Off The Wall" Interview

Michael Jackson's 1979 "Off The Wall" was the first record that shot the solo Jackson star into the pop legend mythos. To understand more about the album's creation and the enduring influence on music history - it was reissued in 2001 as "Off The Wall: Special Edition" which featured some interviews with the albums collaborations Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton aswell as home demos from MJ himself. Very strange reissue indeed! All the tracks have this audio-documentary-esque flow to them, with a voiceover to guide the listener. This style would come up again in the later Thriller reissue. This comes sadly at a determent however, as there's not a lot supplementary music material offered other than two rough demos.
