The idea behind learning styles is that everyone has their own preferred method of learning and that by leaning into this preference, you can learn more effectively. This theory sounds reasonable. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, so it would make sense that leaning into your strengths would help you learn more effectively. However, this isn't the case. According to research, there is no empirical evidence that learning styles will help you learn more effectively.
