Filmed on location at the Royal Liver Building in the Company Secretary’s office, this case is used to illustrate the deployment of trusts in a commercial environment. The case is very important particularly when considering how trusts might be used in the commercial context to outfox the general body of creditors. In this case we see the deployment of a purpose trust, i.e. if money is lent for a specific purpose and it is not used for that purpose (i.e. paying a dividend) then the interest in the money will remain with the lender.
