If the water evaporates from the soil faster than it is replenished, the plant’s roots cannot absorb enough moisture. This is especially common in hot, dry environments or if the plant is placed near a heat source like a radiator.The soil becomes dry and hard, and the plant’s leaves may start to wilt or droop due to a lack of moisture.
