The song is a call to all people to “come and see the one who stayed [on the cross]… unmoved.” No matter how high or low you believe yourself to be, all are all in need of the love and grace of Christ Jesus. He gave up himself for those who turned against him, for those who could not save themselves (you and me). Instead of saving himself, he stayed upon the cross for us – unmoved.
