Mui Ne – Vietnam We started the day on our scooter, heading into Mui Ne city for a local breakfast. Down a quiet side street, we found a tiny spot that served just one thing, cơm gà chiên, rice with fried chicken. Simple, cheap, and so good that we did not need anything else. After that, we stopped for a Vietnamese yogurt drink, fresh and slightly sweet. That is when we finally learned why every Vietnamese restaurant serves tea with your meal. It helps balance flavors, cleanses the palate, and aids digestion. A small but smart local tradition we now truly love. 📍 Search for cơm gà chiên in Mui Ne https://maps.app.goo.gl/niPQ27MWr2Fw2... 📍 Vietnamese yogurt drink, sữa chua https://www.google.com/maps/search/?a... 💡 Vietnamese iced tea, trà đá, is almost always free or costs only 2,000 to 5,000 VND. It helps digestion and balances oily dishes. 💡 If a local restaurant only serves one dish, it is usually because they have perfected it. These are often some of the best meals you will find. Riding through quiet places We continued our scooter ride through the countryside and made a quick stop at a peaceful lake, where time seemed to slow down. As the sun began to set, we planned to visit a night food market. But on the way, we stumbled upon a beautiful statue and pagoda, glowing softly in the evening light. Many pagodas and statues around Mui Ne are most beautiful just before sunset, when the light is softer and the atmosphere is calm. Following instinct over crowds When we finally arrived at the food market, it felt too westernized, full of tourists and fusion food stalls. So we trusted our instincts and turned back toward a smaller, more authentic street food restaurant. That is where the magic happened. They brought us a small charcoal grill directly to the table, and we grilled our own goat meat and herbs. The smell, the taste, the moment. It was the kind of meal you never forget. After that, we rode home under the quiet Mui Ne sky, full and happy after a day of pure local flavor. 📍 Lau De 385, goat barbecue restaurant https://www.google.com/maps/search/?a... 💡 Grilled goat, thịt dê nướng, is a local specialty in many coastal Vietnamese towns. Tender, smoky, and rich in herbs. 📍 Search for Mui Ne food court https://share.google/zJArNZ7TaPBtfZf2v 💡 Tourist markets are often pricier and less authentic. Always trust your instincts. 💡 Tip: When traveling in Vietnam, skip tourist food courts and look for small family run spots with limited menus. If they only serve one dish, it is usually very good.
