Seam has got to be my favourite band ever. It soundtracked the best and the worst of times. After all these years I kind of reached the point where I don't even consider some of their albums "weak", "mediocre" or "straight up bad": Headsparks is a bit rough (in a bad way), The Pace is Glacial mostly pales in comparison to The Problem With Me, sure, yet every single time I listen to both records, I always end up listening to them from start to finish, mostly because of incredible nostalgia that is attached to their melodies. Nostalgia in general is a key word for their music, I think, and this wistful song in particular epitomizes that haunting, abysmal feeling of longing for something that is now far, far away. Some time ago I downloaded this track and some others off some music's blog, unfortunately, I totally can't recall the actual url of it. I was looking for a download of "Sukiyaki/Heroes" 7-inch, I think, and instead, found some random recordings of America's favourite band's live shows. I have never seen them live, but I saw some videos on Youtube and always kind of dreamt about actually seeing them thirty whopping years ago. Wound't say that they were that good live, but I found this recording in particular to be a wonderful live version of the song that you probably loved right after giving The Problem With Me a spin.
