The book is called 'Jazz on a Summer's Day' (OUP, 2012) and is one of a series of four books published by Oxford University Press. Each book is dedicated to a season and contains arrangements by Nikki Iles of appropriately titled and themed standards alongside original compositions by her. Each piece lists an inspirational musician or two at the end (e.g. Louis Armstrong and Oscar Peterson at the end of the first piece). The pieces were recorded over the last 18 months: Shaker Song was the first, in January 2021, and 'The touch of your lips' the most recent (July 2022).
