Tell your Story on a Live Map This video is Part 1 of a 2 part video tutorial in which I demonstrate how to create a map story presentation using the free online Google Earth Web. No software installation is required and all that is needed is a Google Account. A map story presentation shows locations on a dynamic live map and permits you to attach information, photos and videos to it. The presentation works like a normal presentation except for the fact that it connects information that you are presenting to a map. Every slide in the presentation is a place and advancing slides takes you to the next location on the map. It is a different way to present information and it permits you to add geographical context which can enrich your narrative and significantly enhance audience engagement. The video should be useful for anyone wanting to try an different way to present information through Map Story presentations. Usually such presentations require expensive GIS software but Google Earth Web makes creation of these presentations super easy and it is completely free.
