Finally getting round to these videos and starting with the best test day of the year so far, unfortunately matched with the worst weather so far. A lot of really interesting history in this one but high winds made it a real challenge to film and it does show in a lot of places. Notable sportscar appearances come from Phil Quaife getting to shake down the Beehive Collections From-A Nissan R93CK, recently rebuilt by MotoHistorics and driven in period Group C competition by Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Mauro Martini, having lived a life previously in JSPC as the last Lola tub manufactured. Paragon Porsche man Mark Sumpter spent the day pushing quite hard in his ex French GT Championship winning and now 1995 Le Mans liveried Larbe Competition Porsche 993 GT2 Evo along with the Maxted-Page ran Porsche 997 GT3 RSR for Adam Lichtig and Lee Maxted-Page. Pegasus Classic Engineering bring the BMW 3.0 CSL, Lola T70 MK3B and Chevron B19 for the Hyett family of Ross, Nick and Charlie. The Bizzarrini 5300 GT seen in recent years with Matt Neal & Joe Twyman at the wheel around the confines of Goodwood appears, having lived a life in period that saw it compete in races like the 1966 Targa Florio & Le Mans in the same year, and of course, just over a month apart (perhaps a task made easier by the fact that they didn't finish the former and were disqualified from the latter)! The National Motorsport Academy bring their Mosler MT900R back out after a winter rebuild although we didn't see too much of it as it appeared rather late in the day. And lastly, an unusual sight in a saloon car as Rick Kerry debuts his former Tim Harvey BTCC Peugeot 406 Coupe from 2002, a nice departure from the Super Touring craze with a fine example of the sadly slightly forgotten BTC-T spec of race car. Single seaters of particular historical interest come from cars like the Jamie Constable owned Tyrell 011B, this time appearing in the hands of Mark Hazell as well as driving his own ex Keke Rosberg Williams FW08C. F3000 enthusiast (so much so that he owns several of them!) and long-time Ferrari Man Colin Sowter, driving the now rather familiar Reynard 89D that gave Eddie Jordan and driver Jean Alesi the 1989 F3000 title.
