Per me, che avevo appena iniziato a suonare la chitarra, diventò subito un mito. In questi giorni tra i miei vecchi vinili mi è capitato proprio questo album, e non ho potuto resistere a provare a suonare il solo della bellissima “SULTANS OF SWING”. Questo è un mio piccolo contributo al grande Mark Knopfler, per le emozioni che mi ha dato in tutti questi anni con la sua musica e la sua magica chitarra. In 1978 was released the first album of the great DIRE STRAITS; on guitar and vocal a guitarist with a stunning touch, an incredible technique, full of rhythm but also of expressiveness. For me, that I had just started to play the guitar, immediately became an idol. In these days, among my old vinyl, I discovered this album and I couldn’t resist to try to play the solo of the beautiful “ SULTANS OF SWING”. This is my little contribution to the great Mark Knopfler, for the emotions he has given me over all these years with his music and his magic guitar.
