The company began making soaps, like many artisans, in order to get a healthier and cleaner ingredients list in their everyday soap use. The brand makes shaving soap, pre/post shave, hand soap, body soap and shampoo. The company prides itself on using high quality, natural ingredients and they never use palm products in their soap making process. Featuring notes of pine, fir and cedarwood, the scent evokes thoughts of walking through an evergreen forest. The blend is complex and the individual notes move in and out with a really nice synergy about them. Fans of woody scents will undoubtedly appreciate this accord. Scent strength is strong both out of the container and remains strong once lathered up. Similar scents from the wet shaving hobby include; Stirling Soap Co. Coniferous and Mike's Natural Soaps Pine & Cedarwood. Siliski Soaps utilizes a strictly vegan based soap formula. Ingredients are listed as; saponified cocoa butter, kokum butter mango butter, shea butter, castor oil, jojoba oil, palm free stearic acid, essential oils, sodium lactate, tussah silk. The soap is of soft to mid consistency and loads quite easily into the brush fiber of your choosing. The soap is on the thirsty side and rewards the user with a creamy lather that when dialed in resembles whipped cream. The slickness is good. Both visible lather and residual lather are slick and provide ample speed for the edge to glide along without fear. Post shave is good and leaves the skin feeling well moisturized and soft.
