I became the owner of a boat (shipwreck) in Amsterdam this year so I'm qualified to tell you what that experience is like. That's what this video is about. For the boat, we bought an electric motor from Epropulsion. In 2025, the municipality of Amsterdam wants to ban all petrol and diesel engines so depending on how strictly they will reinforce this, you will have to get an electric motor later on anyway. Ultimately we are very happy about having a boat in Amsterdam. If you're considering taking a boat ride in Amsterdam, I'd recommend not taking a big touring boat but renting a somewhat smaller open boat. Driving through the canals with a boat is awesome but calling it the best experience in the world might be a little bit of an overstatement?
