Walk with me through this lively neighborhood. Cuauhtémoc is a business hub, a residential area, a shoppers paradise; literally all the things. This place never sleeps. One day there's a protest at the Angel, the next there's a parade on Reforma. I recently moved from Cuauhtémoc and it provided an exciting landing for someone like me who loves the buzz of a lively city. I lived very close to Rio Lerma and yeah, I was in the middle of every party. This is a neighborhood meant to explore on foot. Stroll down quiet avenues lined with trees, stumble upon a local market bursting with colors and scents, or find a cozy café tucked away on a side street. Each corner offers something new, a reminder that Cuauhtémoc is more than meets the eye. Its central locations perfect if you’re often heading to Condesa, La Roma, Centro or even to points further south. All of the streets in Cuauhtémoc are named some of the world’s and Mexico's most important rivers. Let that be one clear indicator that you’re in the right place - look up and the street should begin with “Rio”. Rio Lerma is a vital artery in the colonia and has a mix of old-school shops, tons of restaurants, commercial activity, cool cafes, local life and a constant flow of people and traffic that epitomizes "Mexico City." I think the most endearing part of this neighborhood is its proximity to Paseo de la Reforma, which is an important avenue of the city, but it’s like living near one long park. Reforma’s shops and iconic landmarks are just a stone's throw away, and the vibrant energy of Roma Norte and Zona Rosa is practically on your doorstep. Cuauhtémoc is a unique blend of residential streets, bustling businesses, and a shoppers haven. Also, it’s a main through-way for Muévete en Bici where the road is closed on Sunday for bike riding. Colonia Cuauhtémoc gets under your skin. It's chaotic, it's charming, it’s professional, it’s just alive. And once you've lived here, it's a part of you forever.
