The Antwerp derby started with a corteo from the Royal Antwerp fans before the match. At the start of the match there was a great choreography and pyro by Royal Antwerp. Beerschot started with pyro aswell. During the match, after getting behind 4-0 the Beerschot ultras threw fireworks on the pitch with the goal to suspend the match. After the match, Royal Antwerp tried to get near the Beerschot sector outside the stadium, police intervened. At first the match would be continued on monday, Beerschot didn’t want this and accepted a 5-0 loss. Statement by Royal Antwerp after the match: After this afternoon's match between RAFC and Beerschot, there was a meeting between both clubs. Beerschot has the ultimate decision to forfeit. RAFC takes note of the decision. The competition will therefore not be completed further. The RAFC victory was 5-0.
