'The Remarkable Life of Ibelin' Director Interview - Benjamin Ree

I got the chance to talk to Benjamin Ree, the director of The Remarkable Life of Ibelin which comes to Netflix on the 25th October. The documentary tells the story of Mats Steen who was born with a rare degenerative muscular disease and lived the majority of his life in a wheelchair. Following his death, his parents were overwhelmed with hundreds of messages from members of Mats' World of Warcraft guild, where he was known as his much beloved avatar Ibelin. It's a really moving story and much needed in a time where there is so much mudslinging in online gaming spaces. Games have the capacity to make a real difference in this world and we shouldn't take that for granted. It takes nothing be a little nicer to each other! Okay, getting off my soapbox now.
