The fact that two of these runs are in storms is a complete coincidence. If it were my choice, I'd run in the daytime where the video is most watchable, but I'm not gonna afk during the night. This was a really bad week to host an ARKS record with the release of dark falz aegis and ultra PSO2 day taking up most of everyone's time. I hadn't spent the time I would have liked towards each of these races, due to the importance of running UQs when they show up, and some other mitigating factors. Therefore I don't believe these scores are the absolute juicer scores I normally post, but they're still alright. I won't be surprised if these are not world record scores, given the time I've invested and the fact that I haven't seen any coverage of other people's scores. South Kvaris Another race that is heavy on the Wulfen Raid spam, but the PA was nerfed since the last time I've spammed it this much. You can no longer get the long dash from an infinite range, and it is possible to soft-lock on enemies yet not be close enough to get the long dash. This happens very frequently and you'll see me fail a few Raids to my target lock switching in an instant, or me hesitate to Raid because I don't know what I'm targeting. An unforgivable element of this race is that you need frozen boxes in the right spots, otherwise you have lost an easy Raid target which in some cases cannot be replaced by a mob. This run was actually performed on February 4th. After that day, the frozen box spawns were not good enough to run this map to its full potential again. Gigantix Crocodylis is actually really useful in this map, as he will chase you down at really fast speeds, and I just happened to get mine to stay in an area that was empty. When you think about all the RNG involved here, and the pain in setting up mob locations, I can see why so many are dissuaded from doing field races. I still think this race has 500-800 more points left in it, but that is just not feasible in the time I had. South Retem The first 30 seconds of this race are incredibly difficult, simply because ascending uneven vertical terrain is janky. Other than that, there is a minimal amount of Wulfen Raid usage because the race passes through a lot of mob-less space. The amount I do here is about the most you can get out of it, which is why I opt to use Bouncer to let Jet Boots fill the space; and even then, you are pretty much always in a boost state, so PAs aren't used a lot in the second half. I tried to fit in the last two missing symbols into the route, but even with constant Wulfen Raiding (which was also error prone) to and from them, I could not get them to be profitable. North Aelio WE LOVE ROCKS The decision to run this race through so many piles of pebbles, some of which are submerged under water and grass, and a veteran spawn can only be described as tomfoolery. Learning to dodge every single pebble on the track was its own task. I could not find a way to make the last symbol fit into the route without dropping points, but it was so close that I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually better to get it. I learned a lot about tree hitboxes too, which saves a lot more time when you know to jump through the top of them as they're intangible. This is a good race marred by the floating board physics that can't handle pebbles. Timestamps 0:00 South Kvaris 1:37 South Retem 3:54 North Aelio
