We took a trip to the Bronson Caves in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. The Bronson Caves are man-made tunnels in the mountainside created a century ago for mining, and have been used in several shows and movies. It’s a short, quarter mile hike up to the caves, located in Bronson Canyon. When we got to the caves, the entrances had been fenced off recently due to falling rocks, so we couldn’t walk through them. So we followed the trail around to see the other side of the tunnel. The trail ends in a canyon, where we sat down for a little snack break. On the way back down, we got nice views of the Hollywood sign. Though we couldn’t walk through the tunnel of Bronson Caves, it was still a fun excursion and easy hike to get to.
