Race Day 5 | Solar Challenge Morocco 2021

What an unforgettable race it has been! The Solar Challenge Morocco took solar racing to an extreme level. Starting off with a good 2nd grid position, we managed to quickly escape the busy traffic of Agadir. In the race, we have faced great challenges. The steep and high mountains were tough for Nuna11, but she managed to overcome them. Nuna11 also made a lot of new friends with camels, goats, and locals. She even had to drive through roads that were covered with water or sand. We have also seen the power of nature. Not only have we seen sandstorms, which made us sleep inside our convoy cars. Half of the team got sick on the night of race day 4. We still managed to get to the finish line in Agadir as the third team and are very happy with the result. Aside from the toughness and roughness of the race, we have also seen beauty. The beauty of the majestic Moroccan landscape. But, the most beautiful thing we have seen is that it is possible to race with cars which are only powered by the sun (and wind). We, solar teams, take solar racing to the extreme to prove the possibilities we have with technology and the right mindset.
