Studio VIIIA DATE: 04 May, Tuesday 6.00PM to 8.00PM Architect Chetan Shivaprasad is the Principal Architect of Kham Design and a long term resident of Chamarajapete, living for the past 47 years in a house built in 1931. A graduate from Bangalore University, he has been working in the profession in Bangalore for twenty-two years now. He is also the founder of Hampi Center for Design, which is a hub of design dialogue and a unique space for designers. He remains involved in architectural pedagogy as visiting faculty in schools of architecture across India. The lecture is an elucidation of the speaker’s understanding of his neighborhood in Chamarajapete. He speaks in detail about the organization, architecture and evolution of the area through his experiences of living there throughout his life.
